What does STUPKY mean?

Stupky is our term for feet. It comes from the Polish “stopki”, which mean the heels. It reached us thanks to our friend Paľo, who got it from his Polish friend when they went the Path of the heroes of Slovak National Uprising. And we’ve been using it ever since.

„Do your stupky hurt?” „They hurt!”

Mária and Jozef

This is us. Our story began when Mária bought a tent from Jozef and invited him on a hike after few weeks. Since then we’ve been walking together in Slovakia, around the world and especially in the mountains. People think that we’re crazy because we go on multi-day hikes, we don’t shower, we walk 40 km a day, far from our comfort zone, and we still enjoy it.

Dávid

This is David. Sometimes there will be post from his travels too. There are less of them because he has 4 adorable children and wife. His adventurous spirit also draws him to the mountains, where he likes to run and hike. If he has some time left, he trims the trees.
